North Carolina Fishing License Information
To fish in North Carolina you have to have a state issued basic State Inland Fishing License. This enables the holder to fish for warm water fishes in the state, including in the French Broad River. Each angler must have their own license. North Carolina offers a 10-day and a 1-year license. Instate anglers pay $5 for 10 days and $15 for the year. Nonresidents pay $10 for 10 days and $30 for the year. You DO NOT need to purchase a trout stamp to fish the French Broad River with us, and those age 16 and under do not require a license.
